The Borea armchair with striking proportions and the Borea small armchair, forming part of a collection of outdoor seats, tables and small tables, stands out for its tubular metal frame featuring a fluid, continuous design, without joints or interruptions, and attractive feet. The metal bending and curving processes used exploit techniques typically used in the aeronautical sector and transport them into the world of outdoor furniture, giving life to a product with an unmistakable style. Ultra-generous and cosy cushions that are soft, relaxing and sustainable, ensure maximum comfort. The padding is in 100% polyester fibre obtained from the recycling of PET plastic bottles and surrounds a polyurethane section of different densities. 280 bottles are used to create the padding of a Borea armchair, available in a wide range of covers.

“Boreas is an airplane. It is an airplane that has landed, an airplane of 2020 but with a technological soul that perhaps comes from another century. It is an aluminum collection, very modern, stackable, a real outdoor product that you can leave in the rain and nothing happens, but above all it has this feature: it looks like an airplane! It gives you the idea of this timeless furniture that the tradition of the twentieth century has moved into the new century.”

Piero Lissoni
Piero Lissoni ist Architekt, Designer und Art Director und gilt als einer der Meister des zeitgenössischen Designs.
Seit über dreißig Jahren entwickelt er internationale Architektur-, Innenarchitektur-, Produktdesign- und Grafikdesignprojekte. Piero Lissoni ist außerdem Kreativdirektor von Alpi, B&B Italia, Boffi, Living Divani, Lema, Lualdi, Porro und Sanlorenzo.
