Triennale Design Museum,Triennale di Milano and the Monza and Brianza Chamber of Commerce are presenting the show “Daily beauty. A journey through the Permanent Italian Design Collection”, curated by Silvana Annichiarico.
The exhibition hosts a selectionof over 200 iconic pieces from the Permanent Italian Design Collection dating between 1945 and 2014, bearing witness to the innovation, experimentation and heterogeneousness of the history of Italian design.
The exhibition is laid out chronologically, and alternates works by great Masters (such as Gio Ponti, Piero Fornasetti, Franco Albini, Bruno Munari, Alessandro Mendini and Andrea Branzi) with those by young and emerging designers (including Lorenzo Damiani, Martino Gamper, Fabio Novembre and Formafantasma). The show displays a set of the most representative works in terms of formal and technological innovation applied to products, such as the iconic Up5_6 seat designed by Gaetano Pesce and the Mart armchair designed by Antonio Citterio, both for B&B Italia.
