B&B Italia furnishes One Thousand Museum Residences Miami by Zaha Hadid Architects

Corporate news

The B&B Italia Group recently completed working on One Thousand Museum in Miami, Florida.
Finished after seven years, One Thousand Museum is by famed-designer Zaha Hadid and it is the company’s first and only residential skyscraper in the United States. This project, One Thousand Museum, takes its name from its location opposite Museum Park and offers views across Biscayne Bay towards Miami Beach. The 62-story tower, with 84 half and full-floor residences, houses luxury amenities including an aquatic center with a double-height indoor pool, 60th floor sky lounge, wellness space with a gym, yoga facility, private rooms for spa services and a private helicopter landing pad.
B&B Italia Contract Division, working with the architect, provided a complete turnkey approach to fit out common spaces, including commons spaces in the lobby, the 60th and 61st floors sky lounge, wellness spa, 8th floor sun and outdoor swim terrace. The featured products include some of the most significant B&B Italia furnishings: the Moon System sofa (designed by Zaha Hadid), UP5_6 chair, Papilio armchair, Tobi-Ishi table, Fat-Sofa armchairs and the Canasta round sofa, in addition to carpets in all common areas supplied by B&B Italia.
The Contract Division also fitted out two of the model units, at 5000 square feet each, featuring iconic pieces from B&B Italia, Maxalto, including Flos and Louis Poulsen lighting. This monumental large-scale project demonstrates the ability of B&B Italia Contract Division to work together with architects and developers to bring such noteworthy projects to life.
