Chairs, with or without armrests, or for offices, which are versatile and durable and which meet strict requirements – giving a sense of the luxury and elegance of Italian design in a public space. The collection was developed in collaboration with the most famous international designers. Comfort is the first rule of thumb, and it can be achieved in various ways depending on the final use of the chair. Sitting at a dining table is different from sitting at a desk to work. The posture required for a meal assumes a different time of use, which is not comparable to the length of time that people normally spend at their workstations. Free conformation of the second group with respect to the first would not prevent workers from becoming distracted by trying to find the right position, and forcing them to maintain incorrect posture for many hours. When we are busy doing our jobs, we become subject to the shape of the chair, which acts as if it were and exoskeleton. On the other hand, when sitting at a dining table, we have the possibility to adjust our posture constantly because our actions are not as repetitive and require less concentration. The lack of active thought in the way we use an office chair is understood through comprehension of improper use. We we relax or rest, we tend to play with its elasticity. We rock slowly and continuously. In short, specialisation for a certain purpose eliminates part of the element's functional variety. More and more, aspects concerned with behavioural variations of use and changing movements of users come into observation along with the study of the scientific aspects of movement, ergonomics and anthropometrics. For all these reasons, the chair - when destined for an office or professional studio, or even a simple home office desk - is by far the most compromised piece of furniture in terms of technology, design and aesthetics. From the very simple lounge version that is easy to transport and small in size, the office chair turns into an independent object, intrinsically designed to be moved from place to place.
