Diesis 40

Antonio Citterio Paolo Nava

Sofas

Description

Diesis 40 is the evolution of Diesis, one of B&B Italia’s most classic sofas, designed to celebrate its fortieth anniversary - a proposal that preserves the essential and technical nature of the original project. The base and back with a harmonic steel core are covered in thick leather in a distinctive Saffiano texture. The supporting structure has a timeless elegance which underlines the piece’s harmony with the vision of the great masters of Modernism. The cushions, with their extremely soft and enveloping padding, boast a new leather cover (available exclusively for Diesis 40) that accentuates the product’s strength and vigour. Reinforced seams and other techniques borrowed from the world of saddlery highlight an attention to the most authentic artisanship. Diesis 40 reveals unique technical details such as the die-cast lenticular elements of the aluminium frame, and the seat structure which is reduced by using two leather-covered coupled sheets.
