The B&B Italia Contract Division supplied both the custom and standard furniture for all of the 500 rooms and most of the public areas of this new hotel, in collaboration with the architect firm Semrén & Mansson and the Norwegian Interior designer Anemone Wille Vage. Many of B&B Italia’s elegant collections will be represented in this fantastic building with a mix of products and fabrics, that have been carefully chosen by Anemone Wille Vage in order to create a very special and elegant atmosphere. In the existing building, a traditional yet contemporary look has been applied while the furniture in the new
building reflects a more modern design expression in different finishes in keeping with the newer architectural style. Several products used for the project have been designed by Antonio Citterio like the Lutetia sofa, the Agathos armchair and the Febo chairs, but you can also find the Grande Papilio armchair by Naoto Fukasawa and the Canasta by Patricia Urquiola. The B&B Italia Contract Division distinguishes itself in the field of furniture for community as one of the protagonist of this market in its different branches: hospitality (hotels, residences, club houses, restaurants), retail (stores, showrooms), marine (cruise ships, motor-yachts), corporate (banks, offices, congress centres, museums, theatres).
As strategic element, the B&B Italia Contract Division took the choice to be on the market as a supplier of Know-how and services, more than simple products. The Division is in fact renowned for providing a unique and complete service for architects and their clients, from a total fit out through a turnkey operation to
supply of loose furniture and accessories for hotel rooms and public spaces. The realization of custom made furniture is the best expression of the acquired capabilities and experience; B&B Italia Contract Division coherently offers not only standard products, but also develops functional & technically advanced proposals, according to the specific requests of the Client. The team of engineers and project managers work closely with the Client and their appointed Architects to realise the vision they have created, working responding to often demanding criteria and time frames.
