Alongside renowned designers Richard Schultz, Patricia Urquiola, Jean-Marie Massaud, and Atelier Oï, we now find Naoto Fukasawa, a brilliant designer who has created many items in B&B Italia’s Home collection. Titikaka Bench, design by Naoto Fukasawa The new Titikaka bench, in teak lathes with an aluminium frame, contradicts the rigid shape of traditional outdoor benches. Perhaps the waves of the Bolivian Lake inspired this ingenious piece where the surface of the seat seems to almost ripple with wonderful effect of wind over water. In fact, around the aluminium frame the lathes, which continue to the floor on both sides of the bench, have a wavy progression, creating curves that are sculptural yet truly practical for the ergonomics of the seat. Armchair - chaise longue Lazy, design by Patricia Urquiola Six years after its initial presentation in the Home collection, Lazy has now become part of the Outdoor collection. The stainless steel frame of this chair allows, through a simple movement, the transformation of the armchair into a chaise longue. The Lazy chair is upholstered in a three-dimensional white or black polyester fabric that envelopes the frame giving it a light and airy presence. Crinoline table, design by Patricia Urquiola The new round table for the Crinoline collection boasts a truly sculptural style. A perfect complement to the rest of this series, the table takes on the same curved lines of the seats as well as the interlacing polyethylene fibres. The base is made up of two connected elements that create a chalice that supports the top and is available in two versions with black-white or bronze-black finishing. The tabletop is available in either white-coloured glass in pate de verre or in white stratified HPL with a pattern milled lines radiating outwards from the centre. The latter version being designed to hold an umbrella in the centre. Springtime Table, design by Jean-Marie Massaud Angular lines and formal chic return with the rectangular table of the Springtime collection. Constructed in white-varnished aluminium and equipped with stainless steel supports, the table is available with either grey porcelain stoneware top which is divided into three sections or a single-surfaced white stratified HPL top with a transversal pattern of milled lines. Canasta circular armchair, design by Patricia Urquiola Confirming its outstanding success in the Outdoor collection, the large circular seat of the Canasta series is now fitted with a light folding top in two versions, white and bronze. This cover is designed in a PVC-coated polyester fabric that reduces up to 92% of exposure to sunlight. Further, the Canasta armchair can also be equipped with a base that offers 360 degree swivel rotation; an option that allows you to make the best of your time spent outdoors, at any time of the day.
