Tables: modern or classic made for you
Tables have always been the meeting point of the house, which gathers the family together during the meals of the day, but it's also used to play, study and do much more. For these reasons, choosing a table is not easy. The purchase must be made considering the uses, the position inside the house and the space available. This last factor is critical because a table has not only an aesthetic, but primarily a practical aspect.Dining tables(see Kitchen tables) must be between 70 and 75 centimeters high, while, in order to ensure a correct posture, the height of the chairs to be arranged around it should be about 45 centimeters. Instead, the width of the table should be at least 80 centimeters, to have enough space for plates, glasses, cutlery, but also trays, jugs, baskets and much more. Each person sitting at the table must have at least 60 centimeters. Equally important is the space between the legs of the table, which should be around 60 cm in order to have a pleasant seat.Talking about the position of the table in the room, we must consider that between the structure of the table and walls there must be at least 80 centimeters, while at least 120 cm is the right distance between the table and the transition zone, to be sure that who brings food to the table doesn't disturb who is sitting and vice versa.Even shape is a key factor in the choice of the table, because the shape affects the placement in the room. Rectangular tables(or Coffee Tables) usually fit with less troubles in a room because, generally, they are in line with the walls. Round tables, instead, take up more space, but are better for tablemates, because they allow each person to achieve all that is in the middle (plates, bottles and more). A good solution may be the oval table, which occupies more space than the rectangular table but less than the round one.
