JEAN MARIE MASSAUD | DESIGNER EN

Born in Toulouse in 1966, Jean-Marie Massaud graduated in 1990 from Les Ateliers, Ecole Nationale Supérieure de Création Industrielle. He intervenes on different aspects of design: from industrial products to pieces of furniture. His contextual approach focuses on the search of an essential where individuals are the center of the debate. A work, sustained by the quest of sens, magic and vital feeling. To date, he has worked for companies like prestigious Italian furniture producers in the luxe industry. Awarded by numerous prices, his creations belong to collections of institutions such as Amsterdam, Chicago, London, Lisbonne, Paris or Zurich’s design museums. Meanwhile keeping working on design, he creates the Studio Massaud with Daniel Pouzet in 2000 and designs with him the Tanabé House (Fukuoka, Japan). They realise together Renault Iinternational stands motorshow worldwide, commercial architecture like the Modern Object concept store in Colombus (Ohio). They conceive the HIP spa in Nice and are currently defining the brand and architectural image of Lancôme (cosmetics) and Poltrona Frau (furniture) worldwide. They work as well for big international investors on architecture projects like a 50.000 seats football stadium, two condominium towers in Guadalajara, Mexico, large fine stars hotel in Paris, and a condominium building in Tribeca, New York.
